first of all, i know I'll get flamed for this, but most of post-hardcore is fucking gay. And hardcore + 2 bands isn't really branching out if you catch my drift.
Willie is a really smart guy, he is right most of the time ;)

Wait Willie right? How the hell did that happen? I have no idea what the hell you're talking about ;) Check your last.fm, it's time for some more traditional style metal.

lmao thats about as close as I'll ever get. Don't worry I won't flame you, cause its like me getting flamed for saying hip-hop blows. Thanks Willie.

Much better avatar. Kind of hot in a sick way ;)
I'm glad I finally get the approval of Sir Willie Fisterbut.
Also, Plow, let me know later what you thought about this ok. OH and your new avatar creeps the hell outta me, man that is scary shit right there (probably because I'm afraid of snakes haha)
This is pretty good so far (i'm up to the last couple of tracks), I dig. Industrial-metal has always been the least interesting branch of industrial to me though, idk what it is but it seems to attract a lot of mediocre bands and it's very rare I come across an act that I immediately find outright amazing (maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places). I am not familiar with this groups earlier work but the nu-metal influence seems to be still there, it sounds a little Mudvayne at times which is not a bad thing I suppose.
I'll definitely give it a few more spins.
The aforementioned cover is "Superstition", originally performed by Stevie Wonder in 1972. Crossbreed's version of it is rock solid as well; they manage to input a lot of groove and funk into their performance which is a very unusual thing for an industrial metal band to do
Check out My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult if you dig that sort of thing, particularly Sexplosion!.

I'll definitely give it a few more spins. well, idk, doesn't sound like nu in any part to these years, but like i said in the review, these guys wil always have a small nu influence in their music. Synthetic Division was very nu.
Also thanks for the rec and I'm glad you enjoy this (your avatar is still fucking scary, damn do I hate snakes and even pictures of them).

No problem. It was a very small influence ;]

The only time I hear the Nu, is a bit in Hollow

I won't claim to be an expert on nu-metal but at times this sounds similar to at least one of the later Mudvayne albums which I have heard (which I only familiar with cause my manager used to listen to them at work all the time) and maybe even the latest Sevendust.
It's probably more a similarity to a kind of post nu-metal branch of alternative-metal, rather then "Nu" (if Mudvayne ever managed to escape whatever defines "Nu").
But, this is splitting hairs and it doesn't really matter all that much.

But, this is splitting hairs and it doesn't really matter all that much. agreed. I'll say it once again though, Crossbreed has nu metal roots and they definitely have the influences, just on KE 101 these influences aren't showing out (imo).
And dude, Plow, change that sick avatar hahaha

yeah I have only had 3 avatars during my time here in sputnik. The current one I have had for most of my time though and i'm not planning on changing it.

I'm liking the album Magnus, although I think that the self titled EP is slightly better than this, a few tracks such as the superstition cover don't do it for me whereas the EP is consistently great. That said I'm happy my 3 favorites from the EP (Beg, TBnoT and Control) got put on here and I agree with you that the new Beg isn't as good as the old cut.
Great review as well by the way, and congrats on the feature (even if I did miss the boat by a few days!)

Wait I'm talking bullcrap, the EP wasn't self titled...I meant the New Slave Nation EP.

haha another one who likes this album, the fact that people appreciate this as much as I do makes me really happy. I see your point about the Ep, although i thought that the original Control was a bit bad and i think KE 101 in genral is a very very good cd and a step up from New Slave Nation which btw is pretty awesome too.
And thanks, yea you missed it by a few days, but it wasn't featured for more than 30 hours anyway. 30 hours is good enough for me though :-)
