You have a absolutely no basis for your arguments. I just love the reason you didn't like Exogenesis, "Just why?"

It seems like the popular thing to do these days on spunik is be negative without any reason why. Or the only reason being, "it's poppy" or "it's not the same as their old stuff." Which is just stupid. The first three tracks, I will admit are fairly poppy, especially Undisclosed, but that is not a bad thing, they are very catchy, and in my opinion very good. After that it's the Muse you always loved, except that they turned up the epicness dial.

IMO it could be their best.

I don't understand the hate for Unnatural Selection. That's my favorite from this album. The guitar in that song is great.

I rated that ages ago. Do you honestly expect me to go through every rating and change accordingly?

Yes? That's kind of the point of the ratings system (smacks forehead).

quote:"You'll enjoy this record more if you forget about your expectations and think about why you even got the chance to review it."

How can anyone believe this nonsense? No one wonder music is steadily declining in value: "everything must be equally considered & liked & appreicated & accepted because we are all unique snowflakes capable of making good music!". Laughably wrong, or did everyone forget MTV all of a sudden?

On topic, Muse stopped being momentarily interesting after Absolution, the only song that remains in my music collection being "Time Is Running Out".

I largely agree that they are epically harmless & ultimately do little to evolve or make music in a unique nature that hasn't been done before (Radiohead, then I'm sure whatever band that came before them that Radiohead ripped off of, etc. etc. etc.

Honestly, you weren't harsh enough on a band that's suddenly become popular with The Crowd to be listened to (i.e. people that didn't give 2 sh*ts about the band suddenly swearing that they always found them awesome because it's socially appealing to like this band & nod along to insipid praise of their albums).

To be fair, I would advocate extending this criticism to 80% of music out there today. Look forward to more reviews, etc.
