I never said wailing and hitting high notes defines good singing, those are just two aspects of his vocals. If you don't like his singing voice, that is more objective, so I can understand that.
I was quite surprised that they performed on MTV. I hope with the new album and in the future that they don't become more a part of the mainstream in the US and change their sound so the pre-teens like it.

Like a shitty bargin bin version of Thom Yorke who decides to hold every single fucking note for a minute and a half.
Lol both are good but Bellamy isn't so nasal.

Can Muse fill stadiums in the U.S. like they do in Britain and Australia?
I'm not saying they don't have a US following, but I will say they're not exactly a "mainstream" band there just yet. That may change with this record, I'm not sure.

Didn't muse just make their tv debut in the states?

I HATED how they were playing starlight yesterday and mtv showed it for like 4 seconds between commercials
|

yeah muse isn't mainstream in the states per se, but i think it's accurate to say that they have a strooonng fanbase over there. i watched the concert they did and people knew all the words and shit

OK, but anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of popular rock music would know Muse, that they haven't been institutionalized is besides the point. Hence, almost as mainstream as it gets.
|
| |
yeah they're by no means underground thats for sure

Open for discussion: do you guys think this record will make or break Muse in terms of becoming a bigger act in the States?
|
| |
dont it...not a big synth pop following here in the states that i am aware of
but undisclosed could probably get some good airplay on the radio
|
| |
I dunno, depends whether or not people see the flamboyance of this record as a good thing. I don't find it as accessible as Absolution or Origin of Symmetry but then again i'm not a huge muse fan

It certainly won't break them, but it might depend on the single choices. Uprising is pop enough, and I swear if someone remixes Undisclosed Desires it could be huge.
