I don't find them very impressive. They either make consistent albums that aren't a big deal for me or irregular albums with both fantastic and just alright stuff, worst case scenario mediocre or straight up bad pieces.

And honestly I consider them quite above average.

that's fair enough, i can definitely see albums like the more recent moon shaped pool being regarded as homogenously consistent

i just find the atmosphere on here so compelling, definitely helped that i heard it in my formative years and it was novel to anything i'd heard before then

Oh, I find Kid A considerably more inconsistent than A Moon Shaped Pool.

Kid A is so much more "of a piece" then Pool, which I'm still convinced the ordering of was a troll on the band's part. I needa get this on vinyl

not sure I necessarily believe in "inconsistency" as a positive or negative thing when it comes to albums

some of my fave cds don't exactly hold integrity the whole runtime, you can have acts of an album

also i think kid a rules hi

This was my fav Radiohead album for so long, but in recent years, I’d have to place OKC and in rainbows above it.

I’d say pool is a lot more of a complete album than this. This has always been a bit of a misguided skeletal hotch-potch

This flows so well that it feels perfectly coherent despite its stylistic diversity.

"some of my fave cds don't exactly hold integrity the whole runtime, you can have acts of an album"

same with me, really, but Moon Shape in particular, especially on my first couple of listens felt so jolting going through the album front to back. Like after Burn the Witch I wanted that kind of energy to keep going but was just hit immediately with prob one of their bleakest songs of the decade and then it sort of stayed in that mode for the next 2 tracks. For me, that album is the hardest to listen to as a whole even though I pretty much like everything on it

That's just not true. This and OKC are the two least suitable for shuffling in their entire discog

Most "shufflable" albums are probably Hail to the Thief & Moon

OKC sure does flow seamlessly

This flows very well until Treefingers, then it's just whatever

I mean compare this to In Rainbows and tell me once again this ones flow is as good

Saying this doesn't flow well when there's stuff like the seague from Optimistic to In Limbo seems very wrong to me
