I wouldn’t say DEFINITELY better. It’s so close. But this barely edges out TDS for me. But if someone said TDS was better, I wouldn’t have much of an argument. We’re In This Together Now is such a fucking underrated song.
Broken is just as good as this and TDS. These three albums are the NIN holy trinity.

I still remember that I put starfuckers while a couple was having sex next to my hotel room, it was pretty bizarre. Suddenly the song started to make sense

He managed to do a album of the same quality that is about 40 minutes longer than the last one, more experimental at that too. Fragile is his best

Meanders more tbh, TDS is leaner and meaner. Fragile is still fuckin amazing, especially disc 1

I finally start to discover my love for the second disc. Got a new vinyl player and damn this shit is layered. The instrumental version already impressed me but with vocals it is even more impressive - especially considering this is from 1999. The Fragile should be a must-listen-to for every audio engineer out there. Trent knows his shit.

The atmosphere combined with the distant guitar on Even Deeper is just so damn relaxing.
Feels like I'm sitting in a little wooden boat alone in a dark bayou whilst catching some fish.
Yes, I have a weird imagination

everyone who's digging all the little details and layering here should definitely get those Deviations vinyls of this. When spending much more attention to the sound, you'll realize, how much fucking work Trent Reznor put into this. There are also some legit interludes/parts of songs that got cut out in the released form. "Missing Places" for example which will lead to "We're in this together" and I am sad it got cut out on the real thing
