This album is nice and all but it has no staying power to me compared to oceanic. I can listen to this and enjoy it but afterwards I won't be able to point at a single song or moment that stood out to me here. Its very slick like that. Oceanic has way more character imo.

So Did We stood out for me like no other song ever. My intro to them was when they opened for Tool, and they closed the show with it. My mission after the show was to figure out what that song was, cause I never heard them before, and Aaron probably said 2 words outside of the lyrics the entire set. I didn’t even care about Tool afterwards and they were the one’s I paid to see.
All thanks to SDW.

Oceanic has a lot more depth and character about it but this has some incredible tracks, particularly So Did We.

For me I rank Isis albums exactly in the order they came out.
And don’t forget folks, The Pliable Foe and Way Through Woven Branches were left off Wavering Radiant for some inexplicable reason. Imagine if they weren’t…GOAT.

It's imposible for me nowadays to decide between Oceanic and this. Both are colossal masterpieces that hold a very dear place in my heart. This band stole post-metal and made it theirs.
