It's decent. Certainly bearable over their previous work. I used to be into these guys when they just had their S/T but I fell out of it when I realized there were bands that did it better. I still think the singer has a obnoxious voice.

Album has very slowly grown on me. It still has a bland feeling to it though. Branden's drumming is definitely missed. Alot of the songs just have that samey feeling to them. I still think the self titled is their best followed very closely by Lies for the Liars (that album took almost a year for me to really really like).

I'm a long time fan. I've listened to this album 2 or 3 times and every time I like it more. It's totally different but the way you explained it made me understand why now.
