Last installment to The Golden Girls drama:
It seems that the HoF tried to achieve a "reunion" of the MK II lineup, without Jon Lord ofc, with the intention of performing during the band's induction. Deep Purple's response to that was negative and for some reason Ritchie's camp interpreted this as being banned from attending the ceremony. In other words, usual Deep Purple crap.

There are certain criteria to be fullfilled if an artist is to be nominated for induction. But they are pretty laughable, completely generic and most of the times the commitee ignores or bypasses some of the them. Bending the rules is not what pisses me though. The fact that the commitee is consisted of people who are not musicians, is what pisses me.
