Waior. Talented musicians can write a 30-40 minutes album in 10-12 months without any problem. I could write multiple full albums completely alone in one year, all of extremely good quality. Any band worth shit can too. The Respect Issue was released in May 2008, Felony was recorded in June 2009. 13 months. You don't think any band worth anything can write literally 1 song a month.

btw @same...

i don't hang with scene kids. i live in baltimore and we have a awesome scene for the most part. trapped under ice, mindset, brick, age sixteen, bad habit, stars and us, alarmed, plagueland, surroundings, pulling teeth, there simply is no room for scene kids. i have seen scen kids one time since i have been living here and that's when i went to scream the prayer tour to see the always amazintg sleeping giant. that's it.

Hey no one has to agree with my opinions. i stopped talking internet crap long ago. I am just throwing in my humble two cents about the situtation if you dont' agree with it dont' attack my comments just write about something else. i believe this discussion can end maturely. Am i right?

Jacktiger. How is it ironic for me to call Emmure hating trendy, which is fucking clearly is? I'm not part of a trend. I genuinely love this music, not just Emmure, I mean what many would call deathcore, although I can't stand that term. If you knew Frankie you might realize his lyrics are real and heartfelt, and if everyone got off their high horse and just listened to the music without having the predisposal to hating chugs, you'd actually hear the intricacies of the music, from the bass pedal fills that I have yet to hear another band do as well, to the slight changes in rhythm within one breakdown, to the metaphors and references in the lyrics.

I'll definitely agree that along with it being trendy to hate on Emmure, there are certainly some scene kids who have glombed onto Emmure as part of a trend. The trend will die, but the genuinely good bands such as Emmure and Despised Icon will survive because they're talented writers.

I am far from a meathead. i listen to anything form priscilla ahn, fionn regan, griffin house, the everybodyfields to abigail williams, emperor, dimmu to hoods, bad seed, naysayer, CDC etc. it just depends really, i go to hardcore shows, but when i come home i chill out to six pence none the richer or some Imogen heap. but i do hardcore dance and all that too.

here's a tip when you go to a show hangout outside near the bands van and see whose standing around talking to the members. that really tells you what kind of band it is in the "scene" i garuntee that tons of girls hang with emmure outside or scene dudes.

I mean go up to any band that's apart of FSU and see if you see some scene kids chilling with them i think not.

bros listen to the cro mags. does that make them meatheads?

i love hardcore and hate the cro mags.

it is tredy to hate emmure, just like it was trendy to hate abigail williams. the difference?

abigail williams put out a mindblowing epic cd. that in the black metal world may be a classic imo.

I hate emmure because they mean nothing to the scene. them and recon and horrible bands that happen to make money. Victory and Rise records both suck and both sign crappy bands.

I disagree, you just haven't seen the impact Emmure has made. It has inspired people like me to write heavy riffs and heartfelt lyrics. I know other people they have inspired too, so I assure you, they're doing things for music. And personally, I don't give a shit about any scene, I just like bands for their riffs and lyrics and don't worry about their effect on any scene of any sort.

template or not....the fact that this was written in advance without no referencing to the album "felony" doesn't even make it a review.

metalcoremaXXXi would be a clever troll if like, you know, it wasn't Emmure.

People who like Emmure figure out how to use the internet let alone a website.

If your best friends are scene kids, I have a feeling you're trendy. (It's been trendy to hate Emmure since they came out too.)

What does this even mean? Because I hang out with scenesters, I'm "trendy"? The entire point of mentioning that is because my scene friends LOVE Emmure. They can't for the life of them realize how awful that band is. Emmure themselves, meanwhile, are the definition of trendy. A constant barrage of breakdowns over ridiculous bro posturing isn't anything heartfelt.

This is starting to remind me of that gay religious emo kid. What was his name?

This can't be him though because he hasn't mentioned AILD once.
