I don't think they're as musically adept with their instruments, although, they are a lot catchier and more melodic than a lot of other punk bands (in my opinion of course). For instance, "Refused are fuckin' dead" is really catchy. While they don't do anything that technically groundbreaking, the riffs they use and the drummer's fills/beats really add to more of a jam aesthetic rather than what most other punk does for me, which is emphasize anger. Not to say their vocalist doesn't sound pissed off.

Lost Ground is too slow and shit. I like all the fury of this one like "The Blues" and "Forgiver Forgetter" and especially "Carrying Weight"

I find Lost Ground effects me much more. I dunno though, I got it before Travels, though, so it may just be a matter of time. As far as too slow goes, my faster hardcore tends to stray to the 'bro' side, so Lost Ground suits me pretty well. I dunno, Lost Ground just sounds so much more desperate to me. And war has always been something I have a soft spot for.
