I wonder if these guys ever heard of the band Queen. It's pretty good so far.

This is Queen reincarnate, and Nate Ruess (don't shoot me) rivals Freddie in singing talent in my opinion. On "Be Calm" he shows off three different octaves, full voice...no falsettos here. All of the songs are queen-epic and intense as fuck, and they are so good at taking all of the elements of music and blending them together perfectly.
I love this so much that I'm trying not to wear this album out because I want it to last, so I've only been listening to them in the car, when I get fully appreciate every nook and cranny. (the same way I listen to Queen) During the downtown at the computer or around the house I've been listening to The Strokes, Fleet Foxes and other bands I enjoy. Queen and now Fun. though, I will only listen to when I can fully appreciate them. I sincerely hope they continue producing albums...I can easily imagine these guys becoming my favorite band.

Might as well be the new Format album, as this is the direction they went with Dog Problems. Not necessarily a bad thing though. I was so disappointed when they broke up, so this is great by itself, but the fact that it sounds like The Format is a bonus.

Yeah I don't think it sounds like Dog Problems v.2 but it's certainly conceivable that they might have put out something very similar to this next. It also proves to me that Ruess was the driving force behind creative direction in The Format because this change is like a smaller version of the leap between Interventions and Dog Problems.

Yeah on first listen I would have rated this a 3.5 but the first sentence of the last paragraph pretty much sums up my thoughts in that regard.

If I were to have reviewed this, it'd have no relevance to anything, sadly :-(
It's either I'm too indie even for Sputnik, or...well...(refer to above emoticon)

Yeah, but that can be said about basically anybody (including me). I am Knott knowing how he struck gold on this one.
