Other than Alchemy Index I and II, I don't see the similarities. I'd say, though, both bands share similarities with Hopesfall and Chevelle.

Eh, that was slightly better than I remember Saturday Night Wrist being. His screams are coo but I am just not fond of his cleans/croons, whatever you want to call them. Musically, the band is fairly interesting but Chino be ruining the experience for me.

I dunno, I am not sure if I really picked up on that while I was listening. I think it was more the sound of his voice when he does those more gentle/crooning singing sections that bother me. I was almost getting into it when the more aggressive stuff was happening.
