I'd have to say it does my man, much more mood to it. Both are undeniably emotional and passionate, but this resonates much more with me

Doesn't beat heat death [2] If its about mood, I like City of Caterpillar more than this

Have no clue what I'd call my favorite whatsoever, there's some good stuff out there. Newfound Interest in Connecticut is probably my answer for now if I'm being real but time will tell

Never got the mass appeal of Heat Death. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it doesn't strike the same way it does most people.

Yeah, it's good in-your-face skramz, but Orchid can do that better tbh

The first half of Regardless We Fall reminds me of Gospel. I know they both came out in 2005 but I heard Gospel first lol.

"it's good in-your-face skramz, but Orchid can do that better tbh"

it's not really 'in-your-face skramz' though, too introspective to describe it like that imo. but yeah orchid fucking rips one's face agreed

i feel this is obvious different from Orchid. This leans much more on tormented post-rock while Orchid are chaotic hardcore power violence at heart

Better than Orchid yeah... need to listen to Heat Death more but I'm inclined to agree with that as well.
