This album most for sure. This is hands down their best because it is simply the band at their best in all ways, musically and lyrically; the band at their peak. It's such a diverse album with various different styles that go beyond just simple punk.

I had to listen to this album about 30 times through before I settled on it being a 5, because it's such a monster. If I was just getting into the Minutemen, I wouldn't get this first because the rest of their material wouldn't really do anything for you. Get a couple Post-Mersh and then What Makes a Man Start Fires?
