Adrenaline's amazing, but it's nothing like the rest of their albums. just a fair warning.

you've never heard ATF or Adrenaline??? :O get on that shit son!!

That being said, if you started out listening to Diamond Eyes and SNW then Adrenaline will be a big shock. Its much more aggressive and nu-metal-ish.

I find it amusing that the band said they were extremely lazy with their songwriting during the period of making this record and yet its soooooo damn good.

I like Lucky You too, but it is probably the weakest song here (Pink Cellphone syndrome)

Probably my 2nd least favorite Deftones album, but still a great album overall. What really held this album back for me was that the opening riffs for some of the songs gave a false sense of what to expect for the rest of the track. For example, the first 20 seconds of Bloody Cape has one of the most haunting riffs the band has ever created, and it really should have set the precedent that this song would be one of the most haunting songs they've ever created as well. But then it just gets.....heavy....then back to the opening riff....then heavy...etc. In the end, it just ends up being a very dark and heavy song, but it could have been much much more if they just took the opening riff and progressed it.

That being said, my favorite song off this album is Needles and Pins.

Battle Axe is also one of my favorites off this disc, but also another song with a superb opening riff that could have been played around with to possibly create a better song. Just my opinion anyways, but it really is a brilliant opener.

Anniversary of an unimportant event is so otherworldly - you can drift away on it
