After a few listens you will simply notice how diverse the songs are...
I find this more interesting than all in flames and at the gates albums combined.

TRITSIO...

Countless Skies instantly sets itself as the best song on the album, the others may need more listens from me, but so far feel unremarkable. This album may be the epitome of boring-ish melodeath but well... it's still boring-ish melodeath.

Objectively it deserves so much I think, it may just be me who gets bored by it. Plus it bores me much less than other albums of this style. And Countless Skies really kicks ass

lol people like you

if you're going for objectivity in your ratings (which is one of the most pointless pursuits possible) then you're doing an absolutely awful job (lol colors 4.5)

Colors is fucking awesome no matter how you look at it. It has haters but who cares?

If you think that's bad songwriting in a prog band then you obviously have never heard Theory in Practice.

Okay just looked them up and they're atrocious but that hardly lends merit to Colors. I mean Colors is just an example, Scar Symmetry at 5 is laughable as well, it's just that BTBAM (specifically on that album) is hated by more people so it's a more obvious conflict with this goal of objectivity.

May change my rating but yeah it's a great album probably one of the few that actually has a long shelf life to it.

I like their first better. A Natural Apostasy is by far their best song
