I was honestly just considering the timeline, but come to think of it a lot of classic DM albums came out in the late 80's/early 90's. Effigy and Pierced are the most significant to me but there was also Like an Ever Flowing Stream, Left Hand Path, Altars of Madness, and Death's stuff (ofc) that took the spotlight off these guys

missed this hmm ... if we're talking about 90s dm specifically, no other genres and no newer revivalist stuff, well, not trying to stir the pot but this and purtenance are definitely on the weaker end for me

weakest link is easily Amorphis. not a fan of anything theyve done.



most underrated it probably cartilage, their first demo rules but the split with altar is some of the best finndeath youll find.
