it's their first full length as a full band with 2 whole new permanent members and they changed the name. i'd assume the other people on the record are friends of frances? random musicians? overdubs? the woman who made the thing just said it right there, why are you contesting this

yeah it's definitely a "different" band, the new songs are more band oriented for sure. either way, she rules and the new one will rule too.
my favourites from this are The Goose and The Wren and then probably Laments of a Mattress. I also love For Sebastian From a Friend, Sirens, and Bruno is Orange of course. She's my 7th most played artist on last.fm and I started listening less than a month ago.

the two songs that the new band (Hop Along) have up on bandcamp have been dominating my iPod lately. I'm insanely excited for the new album. Fully expecting it to be in the running for album of the year.
