buddy actually just posted something on instagram about that
theyre rerecording this right now with beau from saosin, and instead of the ground folds acoustic theyre gonna throw bastard son on it. theyre doing this because this was apparently supposed to be like their demo so they want to finish it up, and also so it can be on vinyl because in 2022 they're planning on making a huge vinyl box and a giant 20 year anniversary tour
also they're remixing the fire and planning on writing another new album next year

Yeah, I never understood what the deal was with Handguns and Ground Folds acoustic. They've been on every version of the album I've ever listened to, but some people still don't seem to consider them as part of the album. Handguns is the best track here, btw.
