Angela wrote all the songs but one off of this album. Not only is she a great vocalist, she's a great song writer.

Then why in the booklet to "Doomsday Machine" does it say "Lyrics: Angela Gossow (?)" Why would this booklet lie?

I wanna know why people think that Angela didnt write any of the lyrics.

This is my only AE album that I own and I don't know why I didnt give it a 4.5/5, but oh well.

Cause she didn't, the ones she did write were with Micheal Amott, who writes most of the lyrics.

I said she wrote next to none of the lyrics. Which is true. She's credited with like 1 or 2 lyrical things, and not by herself either. Most were by or with Amott.

I personally think the best AE album is Stigmata, but this one is the best with Gossow on it.

well then I don't see why that in the Doomsday Machine booklet, you know that comes with the album. She gets credited for all the songs but one, and that one was credited to like you said, by Amott, and her. That pretty much 10 songs, that doesnt sound like next to none to me.

Why would they credit all those songs to her, if she really didnt write them? You guys might have some better source telling you dif., but why would the booklet do that? This Message Edited On 09.18.06This Message Edited On 09.18.06

Yeah, Stigmata is fantastic, particularly the lead work. This Message Edited On 04.09.07

This album is very good, could listen to it over and over without getting bored. My favorite track would either be Taking back my soul or Machtkampf.

Just got this album, its my first AE album with gossow.

I think it's better than Burning Bridges, but not quite as good as stigmata (those are the other AE albums i own)

I loved the melodic element of Burning Bridges. I would love to see a record like that but with angela on vocals. DM was great but some elements were missing I think.

Good album, but it really kind of gets old after a while.

This is my least favorite from the Angela era of Arch Enemy. All the shit with the other vocalist is worse than this though.

Vocal layering often has its drawbacks.

Listening to this again for the first time in aaaaaaaages.

Taking Back My Soul, I Am Legend - Out For Blood and Hybrids Of Steel rule face.

Little echo-y guitar break in the middle of My Apocalypse is nice too. This Message Edited On 12.23.08
