Canadian quintet Alexisonfire have grown once more, this time incorporating an element of hard-rock into their punky post-hardcore sound. Longtime fans may have issues ("we are not the kids we used to be, stop wishing for yesterday"), but it results in an accessible & anthemic 4th album that includes some genuine "wow" moments. George's new raspier screams are hit & miss, but it's negated by the 3 vocalists being more cohesive than ever. As consistent, passionate & energetic as always, 'Old Crows/Young Cardinals' rivals 'Crisis' as their best LP. Recommended Tracks: Born and Raised, Old Crows, Accept Crime & The Northern.

This is one of the best post-post-hardcore albums ever though.

ALRIGHT BOYS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS AGAIN A 3.3 IS NOT OK SOMEONE NEEDS TO START A SPUTNIK-WIDE RE-LISTEN SESSION OF THIS ALBUM PLEASE ALRIGHT

The album is sort of uncharismatic which keeps you from believing it is anything special but it actually is =( It took me 6 years after all

I legitimately hate this album. Hated it when it released, still hate it now. Sometimes albums grow on me, however this one has never grown on me because I don't think it has one redeeming quality. Crisis isn't a whole lot better, though it does have a few songs that at least make it listenable. I'm fine with a band evolving when it leads to something good, but this isn't that.

This album can't even come close to their self-titled album, let alone their best work, Watch Out. Honestly, I was shocked to not only find out that this album had fans, but some of them even seem to think it's better than Watch Out. I'm sorry but - LOL! To each their own, I guess.
