This album gets better as you get half way through. Artwork is sexy indeed.

I really love the climax in Ars Poetica, it's so... mystifying.

Album should be on every end-of-the-year metal list but I fail to see it.

I was determined to win an auction for the box set of this on ebay... but I just couldn't justify it when the bidding went past $80... had to settle for the digipack.

I would have done $200. No joke, this album almost deserves a 5.

There's one on buy it now for $150 on ebay right now... but man there is no way this is worth $200 for a wooden box and a t-shirt.

I'm more interested in a wooden box LP of Pale Folklore which was limited to only 60 copies...... but a $280 bid is steep as hell.

Agreed, the majority of the album is like that.

I love how they actually utilize the bass, especially in "Distant Cries Of Cranes"

Saying this album is perfect is a tad bit of a stretch, I think.

This is quite good. Widow's Grief is a perfect outro.

What is not perfect about this? It's diverse atmospheric black metal that utilizes every single instrument; I couldn't ask for anymore than this. Also the few solos on this rip most shredding guitarists to pieces. You know how when you listen to specific albums, you feel like a weight has been lifted from your chest? This album does this to me from start to finish. Listen to this again and you will see what I mean.

Same, it was very good at first and over time just gets to be amazing.
