hahaha, well actually, you should start with As Palaces Burn, The Ashes, if you consider Burn The priest to be Lamb of God, then BTP, Killadelphia, New American Gospel, and finsih with Sacrament

haha, well i'm gonna let it just play in the order it's on for iTunes... ATPB is first... so after ashes is done, i'll go to that. then Killadelphia, New Amer. gospel, then Sacrament. I don't have any Burn the Priest albums i'm almost done with ashes right now, i had to take a break and go eat dinner.

wow yeah haha. And BTW, The Devil Wears Prada album is alot better than i think people want to admit because of their "Christian Metalcore" label and i think epopel want to rag on them more than they deserve as Dear Love is actually quite a good cut of metal

Meh, I don't care if something is Christian metal or not... As I Lay Dying and Demon Hunter are both great IMO, and they are surrounded by the christian label... so that doesn't bother me at all. So i'll definitely check out The Devil Wears Prada

yeah me neither its just for some reason there seems to be a hatred for Christian inspired bands, which is very stupid because actually, when you think about it, there really isn't even such a thing as Christian Metal, because most if not all sub genres are catagorized by sound, not lyrical content, and seeing as one could easily confuse As I Lay Dying or Norma Jean or pretty much any other Christian inspired band for so called "satanism", it can't be a pigeonhole term. Besides, you don't see people labling Deicide or Akercocke as Satan Metal, so why do we constantly criticize Christ Inspired lyrics or bands?

Very true, but who knows... with how many sub-genres that have been created, I honestly wouldn't doubt a "Satan Metal" won't be made. i mean jesus, did you know there is a such thing as Mathcore? There are too many sub-genres being created nowadays... Anywho, too many people see the label "christian" and assume it's going to be a pansy band with terrible lyrics/instrumentals/vocals, etc. A lot of people just check the label out and turn away in disgust...

but when was the last time you heard someone dispise "Christian Post-Hardcore". There you go another subgenre coined by you Planewreq. Now we can hear flaming on that too. The Devil Wears Prada brings plenty to the table. More so than Underoath imo. And don't even bring Converge into this discussion please. I love Converge with all my heart and they're my favorite band and all, but really, lets be sensible. Name one comparable thing between them and TDWP. As for not being able to

get their generic sounds right
, that's just a stupid thing to say. Does Converge get their "generic Sounds" right? No, that's because they're original. The Devil Wears Prada isn't exactly totally original, but I would definatly call their music alot more original than half the crap music coming out these days, not only in the metal or metalcore scene, but music as a whole. This Message Edited On 04.22.07

i know you didn't say anything about unoriginality with Converge. Since you brought them up, and in the same statement, said that The Devil Wears Prada doesn't "do generic Well", i borught up Converge and stated that they don't either.

Man, I gotta agree with planewreq in terms of the argument. TDWP blows. Horribly. Also, Christian bands are fine. I don't like lyrics that preach Christianity, so they oftentimes piss me off, but that's nothing against the rest of the music. As I Lay Dying and Demon Hunter are two truly awesome Christian bands. Give it up, you two.

i didn't even start this argument, but Wreq, may i ask why you even brought up Converge? and i will explain my statment 1 more time: You said TDWP doesn't even get their Gnereic Sound right. By saying this, you are basiccally saying that they don't sound generic, so if your not generic than your original. So you said that TDWP is original which confilcts with your statment of TDWP not making Original music. This Message Edited On 04.23.07

i don't think we give "break you" enough credit. That song has great lyrics. "You Show Me hate, I'll show you fear".
