Exactly, they refused to stick with either genre so they get marytred, so now twenty years later they are attempting to establish themselves as black metal which I think is kind of stupid.
well the thing that throws me off is that you peg this band (who had a hand in shaping a genre) calling them derivative and review the album as a 2.5 using that point as reinforcement. but then you have an opeth cover band (gwynbleidd) reviewed at a 5.
