I'm sorry, but I think you've got it all wrong.
In my opinion it's a great album, an improvement from their last.
It's full of energy and unpredictable turns which is at least a change from the boringly dull indie albums which new bands seem to be generating quickly.
Also, the political side is nice to see, something people can really get behind.
I'd say 4/5.

Just because it's political doesn't mean people should "get behind" it.

I loved their ep, but everything after that was shit.

I really enjoyed "Take to the Skies" but I've neglected to listen to this album. I'll probably give it a spin after I finish listening to "Nashville Skyline."

Enter Shikari pick up right where they left off at the end of Take To The Skies, their previous album. A quick look and it's obvious that they've tried to re-create the formula of TTTS with having an album intro and several interludes placed around the album, and having an extensive track count of 15 songs - only two less than TTTS. Already it feels as if Enter Shikari had absolutely no idea of what to do with this album and only recorded it to keep the glow-stick waving generation of teenagers happy.
on a reevaluation of this review, and that part in general, i think that youre... well, to be blunt, wrong. this bears SOME similarity to TTTS, but as a whole, its pretty different, the intro actually serves purpose other than noise, the interludes are probably the best part of the album, and the varied vocal stylings rou implements, while hit and miss, are for the most part interesting. its not amazing, but its good.
