That's pretty stupid. If it was like some shitty Aiden or Soldier Boy record I would agree. But at least Taking Back Sunday has put out some good stuff.

Chan rated the new Taking Back Sunday album a 5. How surprising.

Emo crying is so annoying. When Adam and John wrote TAYF, they were a bunch of emo kids. It's a great, classic album. But it's a faux-emo album. This album it's alt-rock, as I've seen someone called here, and honestly, just clap and enjoy the fuckin' ride. This is my summer's soundtrack. And I'm sure it isn't just me.

I just don't understand why people can't enjoy albums for what they are. When you'r3 eighteen, you write about angst and love lost in a way an almost thirty years old man ever could. As you grow up, you face new adversties and new problems, and what I see in this album is musical growth in every level. And if all the emos in the world cry for Tell All Your Friends not being re-done, I'm quite sure it will fill a river pretty fast.

I don't understand why people consider Taking Back Sunday "emo" when they are far from it. Maybe "Tell All Your Friends" was a tad "emo" but even still as a whole they aren't an emo band. People throw the term "emo" around to every band that isn't metal and it's stupid. And Reddannihilation you gave "Black Holes and Revelations" a 1 so your opinion is null and void. Even people who don't like Muse wouldn't call that album terrible.

I hated Tell All Your Friends, but this is awesome. Not the most original or amazing album ever made but sometimes you don't need that. It's solid the whole way through, how many albums these days are there that you can say that about ?

Ok Mr. Elitest. What is emo then? What bands do you consider emo that are probably not emo. And "21st Century Breakdown" is good CD.

in fairness saying the people that listen to this are emo is a fair assertion

emo also exists as a social label for people with eyeliner and skinny jeans and razor blades

but yes musically this is obv nowhere close
