i concur with this being kayo dot covering maudlin of the well
it's almost as if the vocal diversity just left and it's all "i'm comfortable with this yo this is my sanctuary vocally"

I wouldn't say that. I think there is a good range of vocal experimentation, even more so, not just growl/clean. ie. the middle section of Rose Quartz Turning to Glass.
Overall it's a much better vocal performance from Driver then Blue Lambency Downward.
