For what can a pop act pushing forty drunk off the success of their most impressive record to do?

StrizzMatik is just read your view on the new Nofx and again I completely agree! You should definitely do more reviews, and maybe of that record! Your have some quality points and you are definitely a skilled writer!

I've got a bunch under this name and some more under the STFDood84 name. I'd like to do more (I've got a Candiria review coming) but haven't had the time lately.

album is meh. not bad, not good, just meh.

yeh i'd have to say that Dillinger Four is one of the better pop-punk bands out there right now.

oh yeh, Fireworks is damn good too

Cool thanks StrizzMatik! Your reviews are great and you have a great taste in music, we have a lot of bands in common! You should seriously do a review of Nofx Coaster or maybe The Decline. Like your El Mark review as well. If Daryl and co could just finish up the new album! John fucking lennon is an amazing song, and one of the best in their cannon!

I enjoyed American Idiot quite a bit, but this is just a more convoluted version of that and way too long. I don't hate it, it's just boring and doesn't engage me.

I can't wait to hear a song from this playing in every single store I walk into this summer, it'll be 2004 all over again -_-

I kind of dismiss it in the review, but, despite being "a lesser version of 'Letterbomb,'" "Viva La Gloria!" is tight.

Fuck this. Green Day killed it. I'm embarrassed to admit to liking their old stuff anymore. I'd like to forget these last two albums even happened.

Hah I've never read a review written by someone who is clearly pissed off that the album being reviewed is going to be a huge success.
That being said, I think that the most philosophical stuff Billie Joe ever wrote was on 1039 and Kerplunk...and sadly the most recent two albums have just come across as trying to hard to be 'epic' and 'insightful'.

His comments on religion were far more interesting when he wrote lines like "I used to pray at night when I lay myself down, my mother said it was right, her mother said it to. Why?" on Kerplunk. It was far deeper and less explicit in its meaning.

21st Century Breakdown cannot sustain itself. It is overbearing, pretentious, huge, and begrudgingly catchy, but most importantly, it unveils a band without direction.
Spot on. I enjoyed American Idiot so this is pretty disappointing.
