Those are two excellent choices, Climactic. I like Melodeath but its one of those Genres that has a lot of bands that sound the same. It also has a lot of good bands in my opinion. One good non Melodeath album that I might include as one of my favorite Death Metal albums of all time is Obscura's Omnivium.

yeah they stopped playing melodeath with this album
damn that's one of their worst albums for sure. i'd rather listen to this one than A Sense Of Purpose and that last excuse of an album though.
and definitely Anders' worst performance
and don't even get me started on the production... (same case for Soundtrack and that Engel album that was produced by Anders)
