Holy Bible is the obvious answer, but you should check this one out as well. It's more accessible. They are a very solid band. Their every cd is at least decent.

Alright cool, Are they big in england? I've honestly never heard of these guys. (It was an english T.V show where I saw them).

You'd be hard pressed to find a British rock fan that hasn't heard of them and doesn't recognise If You Tolerate This and Design For Life.

"Alright cool, Are they big in england? I've honestly never heard of these guys. (It was an english T.V show where I saw them)." Douchebag.
England has a capital 'E', but the Manics are Welsh, and it's Britain for fucks sake, not bloody England.

Brilliantly written review. I haven't listened to the album as much as I should, so I can't really rate it right now.

William's Last Words is my favourite Manic song. Rips my goddamn heart out

William's Last Words never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Have you read the original poem of that song Rowan? Very interesting read, reads like a twisted nursery rhyme of sorts; innocent at first glance but with obvious dark undertones when you re-read it with the band's interpretation of it in mind

you mean just the lyrics or is there a different version? because no I'm not aware of anything except the song version

Nah the original poem written by Richey (as is the rest if the songs on this album and a majority of The Holy Bible, they're edited versions of poems written by Richey)
