Oh snap! I had this at a 4.5 at first, but it really grew off me. Still a really good album though.

I'll definitely be listening to their new album but I hope it's a bit different than this.

Yeah I hope they trim it down a little and make it so it doesn't drag as much.

i hope they mix together what they did here with the stuff on their new EP, because despite what others thought of it, I thought Tides fucking ruled and was my favourite EP of the year

well if you thought this was bland, then you'll probably think the new one is. band probably just isn't for you but I'll be damned if I don't love them.

I used to be gay for this then came to face the truth that this is really boring, self indulgent crap for the sake of being self indulgent. If they cut 5 minutes off each song, add something resembling songwriting and throw in some curveballs(whether it be psychdelic melodies, violin, catchy riffs, bodhran, anything really. Monotone defines this record.

I pretty much agree with the second part of what Balls said. I'm not as harsh about it obviously, but I agree it could've been cut down a lot.

i thought that at first, but then I just keep listening and then I realized that there's p. much

nothing I would change apart from the really mechanical sound of the drums and that's about it.

maybe the doom-like section of the third track could have been cut down a bit but it doesn't bother me

at all
