I'll give them a shot, but I'm not too in to the "apocolyptic" wall of distortion and constant yelling followed by prolonged periods of quiet, purposeless interludes that seem to make up most post-metal that I've heard.

willie, its not average post-metal. The songs twist and turn like they are evolving, rather that just use quiet-loud dynamics

Too late, I already got this off iTunes. Love it so far, just listened to it three times through while writing the results of a Chemistry project, I switched to Ghost Reveries for the remainder of my work. It pleased my subconscious, it'll take a while before it sinks in.

Finding it really difficult to get into! I know it's an album that deserves 100% attention but I find it hard to do so without a lyrics booklet...my mind tends to wander when I'm not following the lyrics.
Still...I'll persist as I feel this album deserves a chance. "Ghost Key" definitely a stand-out from what's sunk in so far!

It has been actually (for the metal genre at least). Not enough quality, alot of rehash and just some downright terrible ideas.
