akitsa doesn't have enough synth or female operatic vocals, it's perfectly understandable

Album Rating: 2.0
Agreed. No guest vocals from Vibeke Stene or ominous ambient passages = autofail. I will go and justify that my rating is completely wrong as I didn't give this a proper listen(1). When do I ever though? The frog croaking was a mbit much but as I recover from swine flu, I will rip this shit on the farm going absolutely fucking awol.

Akitsa is a great band, although I prefer their earlier releases like Sang Nordique and Soleil Noir. Good review anyhow. I got to see Akitsa play in Toronto in August 08, it was fucking awesome.

Nice, would've been a cool gig.

Berk, is this better than Sang Nordique?
|
| |
I gave Sang Nordique an average rating because it didn't strike me as much as this did, but admittedly I didn't give it that much of a chance. I'd still say this one is better though.

Okay I saw that Peste Noire interview and he namedropped Akitsa so I checked them out and I was a little underwhelmed by Sang Nordique
|
| |
ah right, well any comparison between Peste Noire and Akitsa is very loose at best, they're quite different. give this one a shot if you feel like it, but don't expect to see any similarities with PN

No it's just he said they were good so I was like "well they can't be all bad".
|
| |
ahh right, yeah they're pretty kvlt
