This album still goes so hard. Sometimes I see people complaining about it, saying the album isn't brutal or heavy as other industrial stuff, but this hits harder and deeper in a much scarier, eerie way that's hard to replicate.

Streetcleaner is still brutal and heavy IMO nearly 30 years later. I've seen it performed live in its entirety and it remains one of the most intense live sets I've experienced. Ben Green's bass tone live sounds like the sound made when the Titanic collided with that iceburg that sank it. And the drum machines? They sound like shotguns amped up to as loud as the faders on the mixer can go.

The people I was referring to who were dissing the album were saying they felt underwhelmed because it wasn't as hard/fast like Ministry or Fear Factory or a few other industrial metal bands. Even though those bands have stuff that I really love, Godflesh is just a whole different beast imo, that have a unique and destructive sound.
