hahaha "you're trash" so good

"new town" and possibly the opener (which nonetheless gets the album off to a strong start) and "juno" I guess are weak points. at first "14 days" seems like it's going to be bad but then the chorus rips, hot and cold at the same time. everything else is amazing

yeah, that chorus works wonders for 14 days. Big disagree on New Town and Juno though - the short middle tracks and maybe the opener are the only points that drag for me

all about that that sweet sweet CONTACT tho let's be real

I can't choose between "let's get out" and "the leanover," even if the latter feels like the clear master stroke. the guitar breakdown of LGO is too good. LOOK BACK AND SAY THAT I DIDNT (?)

COME COMPLETE (can't compete???) LOOK BACK!

you're speaking my mind there - either song is the best when it's playing but the Leanover is probs the best when neither is playing

Had heard of this but listened to "the leanover" because I read a tweet that mentioned that it was getting popular on tiktok (depressing phrase) and wow this is the most immediately inspiring album I've heard in a long time

Also I know nothing about the mechanics/history of this site and I know they basically end up being message boards so it doesn't really matter but the fact that these old crap reviews pop up as the default when you look up a record instead of the newer more thoughtfully written ones is a bummer. The thesis of this review is literally "I don't normally like when women sing in bands, but this one makes me kind of horny, so it's ok I guess"
