I can't believe how many people are so unforgiving on first reviews. The site is meant to share opinions and cultivate writing skills, and look at what we are now: a cesspool of hounds biting at every little bone that falls their way, until any trace that it was ever there is gone.
Grow up people. Having fun with trolling comments is nice to do and quite relaxing (and strangely time consuming), but we are quickly becoming a hellbent mob, tearing apart any new meat that comes along.

I think the issue here is that people consider the review an attack of their opinions, and fail to realize the simplicity of the fact that it's JUST ANOTHER OPINION. Shit happens ALL the time. Think eggs and ketchup are great? Fuck, sounds nasty to me.
There is no insult in the review except maybe the immature stab at Hanson (which you should get rid of gyro); other than that, it's a perfectly valid opinion. Is it cultivated? Perhaps not. But please shut the fuck up with your prissy self righteous bullshit about how someone's innocent review has offended your sacrosanct beliefs.

Are you implying that I should be offended by his opinion, someguest? I disagree with it, surely; I love this album. But he will think what he will, and if he wants to write about it, so be it. It was, perhaps, an ill choice to choose such an opinion to write about for his debut, but alas, what's in the past is in the past. I confess that some new reviewers are simply trolls, and an experiment was conducted to show how much a group of dicks we are; just look at Rasputin's Wintersun review. 700 angry comments within one day. Well there are loads of people like me that enjoy those 2 tracks so yes it's false to assume that!
Anyway my first post on here was just constructive criticism, but you took it as an insult. You could improve the review by removing the sweeping statement and giving it a proof-read to eliminate those spelling errors but whatever.

I pos'd. The negging is getting out of hand. The problem is mostly due to the album being negatively rated not the review. I've seen much worse first reviews without any negs.

Thanks Willie... I will prove myself yet, I agree with what you said earlier, I don't know a lot about this genre or this record, and I should have spun it a few more times and took the time to write a more in depth review. But come on... it wasn't that bad, I think people are randomly coming on here and negging due to the rating.
