Awesome album, but I somehow find its lacking something...

lol the guy who I downloaded Ashes in the Snow put the genre as "Abstract Ambience".
I'm gonna give this a try but for some reason I almost feel like giving up post rock altogether...

I found myself kind of bored. Which makes me the devil on Sputnik. It's not to say I didn't enjoy it, but it felt way to grandiose for it's own good.

I listened through this once, but it just seems like the same song played 7 times. I might listen again, but im not sure if that will help.

I bought this record nearly a month ago. I had just gotten paid, felt the burn and ended up buying 6 or 7 records at the same time. Naturally I didn't have enough time to listen to them all. This happens a lot; records go on the back burner for months. But today I put this record on, laid on my bedroom floor and was completely entranced. This record is beautiful from start to finish. I've spent a small amount of time listening to Mono in the past and was never very impressed. My reaction to their recordings was always a solid "meh", but this is astounding. It's soundscape reaches far past it's own genre. At times I felt as if I were watching a noir film creeping slowly, hauntingly along. At others, I felt that this would have been the perfect score to a Wong Kar Wai film. This is passionate. Buy it.

Just felt like professing my love for this album again. The two shorter tracks are probably my favorites actually, does any one else thing Silent Flight, Sleeping Dawn sound like a final fantasy kind of track?
