I've noticed (now after 3 spins) that the album gradually (and do I mean gradually) builds a sort of tension. The first half is much more light hearted and it slowly unfolds...idk what I'm saying, I'm high, but this record absorbs me..loove nick cave

IMO this one of the few missteps Cave has made in an otherwise masterful career.

this is not a misstep imo. contains some truly heartfelt moments and is executed excellently.

Strange how popular this album is. It didn't take many songs before I started to feel old and miserable.
I'll try this again in 20 years.
