Album Rating: 2.5
Unconventional Melbourne octet Architecture in Helsinki are back with more quirky indie twee pop on their 2nd LP 'In Case We Die'. Sounding more grown up than on their debut, the extra ambition sometimes works in their favor, but occasionally just leads to extra mess. Once more utilizing their smorgasbord of instruments & embarrassingly off-key vocals, the low points here are as horrid as anything they've recorded (see 'The Cemetery'). The 1st half (& closer) however, show genuine promise... Making this a divisive album in more ways than one. Recommended Tracks: Do the Whirlwind, What's In Store? & Wishbone.
