Hawks u know i love u but man that obzen take still has me reeling [2]

"think if there's any shug album that could benefit from a remaster (besides immutable) its this one."

I agree with this, but Immutable? Lmao that thing JUST came out and it sounds fucking massive. The only things I would change about that album is the outro, making that weird black metal interlude into something (or just take it out completely) and maybe trim down that instrumental a bit

hahaha i just do not like the prod on immutable. it sounds okay i guess in the context of a full album playthrough but listening to tracks from that album against their other stuff it just sounds so flat to me. easily my least fave album of theirs in terms of production

Ah damn, disagree

Ligature Marks and Broken Cog crumble the foundation of my house every time I put it on, it's very annoying for home repair costs

Add this remaster to the bucket of albums that don't need a remaster.

need to check remaster, was never too hot on the production of this one, but at least never found it detrimental enough to the listening experience

ooo is this actually out? saw it on my spotify front page but it looked like just the remastered singles they dropped mixed in with the og tracks they didn't based on the tracklist

and yeah agreed newg i think the production technology of the time couldn't quite handle what they were going for here (which makes for a very interesting sound in its own right) but very excited to jam this remaster

For me the production was brutal for its time and that bass tone is still amazing on the OG

Agree that Immutable sounds poor

Not sure either this needed a remaster, spinning it now, nothing (eh) is jumping at me in terms of sonic improvements
