WhiteWall - a 5, really? This is pretty good, but idk about classic. And even though I said this last page, everybody who likes this should check out Return from Exile. Same style with as good, if not better, execution.

The contrast between melody and brutality in this album is a breath of fresh air. The lead in 'Marching Towards Extinction' is a orgasm to this guitarists ears.

I love Return from Exile, instrumentally wise, but I find the vocalist to be irritating and largely undecipherable.

Return From Exile is good, and honestly have a bit more variety to their sound than CFTG, but their vocals are somewhat annoying and a lot of their riffs are quite boring. If they had tighter songwriting they'd be better, but their album drops tomorrow I think. So hopefully they've gotten better since the Consumed EP

It dropped like 30 mins ago on iTunes I guess. Vocalist can get annoying, but there is a good variety. And I think their songwriting is actually pretty good. But yea. Hijacking the Conducting From the Grave thread because I'm too busy to write a review. Fun stuff.

good review, the only thing i really disagree with are your point about the vocals. I rather like his lower growls, but then i rather enjoy brutal death metal. highs just arent as appealing, i thought the lows added a nice touch to the album.

Good album with some nice guitar work, but suffers a bit from being too long. Wouldn't hurt to take a few tracks out. Apart from that this is a fun listen.

Honestly, i loved this album all the way through and i couldn't agree more with the review! Some of the older songs that transitioned to the album such as Improper Burial could have been done without, but that doesn't stop me from thinking this is one of the greatest metal bands i have ever heard. Seen them live now 3 times in Sacramento, where they are from and every show is just epic as hell. Really nice to finally head bang and mosh to something that isn't taken over by all the hardcore B.S. that goes on in Sac.

within the ruins is better than this

Both are decent in my book. But still, Within the Ruins is so weird when you listen to it because every single line is harmonized and each is panned far left and far right.

i know i think you can specially listen to that in tractor pull, i think the only thing this band has going for them is the singer wich i think is the only weak point in Within The Ruins, but to balance that out, within the ruins is all about the guitars lets be honest

Without doubt, I totally agree with that. I honestly don't even pay attention to the vocalist when I listen to them.
