at the time they sort of implied to journalists they weren't going to do anything else or at least anything for the forseeable future (vague hippy pretentiousness ftw!), then they just popped out that ambient album and were like loljk.

I doubt it. They just released Celestite on their own record 'label,' so I doubt they'd go through the effort of establishing their own label just to put out one release. It might be a while before we get another one (no idea), but I feel like they'll be making more music in the future.
from an interview with them:
...but this record was a very much a one-off studio project. If we do stuff in the future, I think we’ll return to our familiar sound – guitar and drums.

No, not really – I mean, we left metal a long time ago, in my mind. But if we do stuff in the future it will be in that spirit.

They also said this was a companion piece to Celestial Lineage, so wouldn't be much of a swan song if they went out with an ambient album out of their own label that went along with the previous album.
