Those first 4 Lps are just so classic and nostalgic, this is just so randomly good. Catches some off guard when traversing the ol discography

Like the first time I heard animals 😂. Prog is a fickle genre

animals clicked right away for me but i def hear you on prog rock haha. i find a lot of prog rock to be downright boring as hell, and other albums like yes - relayer i think are masterpieces. i'm so split on this genre

It's weird to think what it has evolved into. I thought humanfly was the fucking bees knees and gunna reinvigorate my interest in the gene again. They disappeared and idk, I just go back to the classics or try to discover more old prog I didnt know about. I miss fripp and meatsalad. Absolute prog geniuses

i haven't even heard of humanfly. i find most modern prog to be extremely dull (steven wilson comes to mind). i tend to love mostly stuff from the 70s/80s.

I think you're wrong, Gyro. Probably you must check some new modern prog stuff. I started in the beginning of this new year with some of their things. So, you can start with the album of my last review, the debut album of Diagonal. After that you can follow my next reviews during the next six montts. I intend to bring hear prog albums of this century. In the end of it, maybe you can say to me that there are, or there aren't, some great diverse prog things made in our days.

Cheers and tell me in end of it, if I'm right or if I'm wrong.

@ Piglet

Check also their other three last albums Dust And Dreams of 1991, Harbour Of Tears of 1996 and A Nod and a Wink of 2002. All are three superb works. This is a band that proves that the age cannot always be a bad thing.

By the way, you can read my reviews about Dust And Dreams and Harbour Of Tears. Maybe they can be useful to you as an introduction to both works.
