Gorod and Necrophagist are pretty much the best tech death, I agree.

That's the point you ****ing idiot, they will be **** because THEY ARE RIP OFFS. Why don't you get it?

I get it bro, I'm just testing you

My point is you're an edgy kid that can't listen to anything that isn't totally original. A band w/ Gorod influence would probably be enjoyable, but your logic is so incredibly stupid it makes me laugh in your face

Um, you obviously don't even know what 'logic' means. All I'm getting at is that I don't have respect for musicians who largely imitate other bands instead of doing their own thing, just because one band I like sounds similar (copies) another does not mean I must 'logically' like the latter.

i dont mind if bands take their influences and infuse them with their own sound and style, but when a band just sounds like not one ounce of their music is original bothers me.

this might just be a coincidence, but the name Obscura is also an album name by the tech death metal band GorgutsThis Message Edited On 02.06.09

By the way how is Focus not technical?

They are technical, but not technical death. 'Progressive metal' is probably a far more appropriate tag for them.

i never said it wasnt technical, just that it isnt a tech death metal album. many albums can be technical but that doesnt mean you have to slap the tech in front of the genre. theyre more towards the progressive end of death metal (the later Death albums, Atheist, etc)
