Well angel, the album started well and by the end of it I was getting very bored of listening to it. The vocals also really grated on me, but I'm listening to it again now and maybe it'll grow on me, idk.

never rate an album after only one listen, man.

Crimson, I have to say, your metal tastes typically jive perfectly with mine. I've been digging on Island a lot recently and am gradually going through your reviews and such.
Thanks a ton, good job with your write-ups.

Hewitt, Masterpiece of Bitterness has much more staying power than this. The debut has a lot of energy, although it tends to lack direction. This Message Edited On 02.04.09

This is fucking awesome, but some of the vocals take away from it.

78 Days in the Desert is awesome...i was thinking this was gunna be lame for he first cuple minutes then it became extremely awesome by the end...still worried bout the vox...he's a very emotive singer but he tends to bore me after 2 or 3 songs...will give the whole album a couple listens tomorrow

I'm on the third track right now. In the second track I didnt really like the vocals but im digging them in this track. Will probably be a 4-4.5 for me.

First two tracks are really annoying to me, but the 3rd one is soooo much better.

I can't stop listening to this. "Kold" and "Necrologue" are my favorites. The vocals on this album are unbelievably passionate. This Message Edited On 02.08.09

This has grown off of me so much. I can't deny the passion in the vocals but the album really is too much to listen to. Parts of this are fantastic but often times I feel like i'm just waiting for the song to end.

Yep. This album is an example of trendy music - and the problem with trends is that they all fade. While the title is really presumptuous, Masterpiece of Bitterness is still their best work.

This, trendy?

Eh, I really don't see that, at all.
