Oh no, did I spell Nena wrong? How dare I!

Ok, these are the 2 remaining clashes I am still to decide on at Soundwave: (1) Emery or New Found Glory & (2) Billy Talent, Lacuna Coil, From First To Last or Houston Calls.

Discuss...

Yeah, leaning towards Billy Talent for (2), but still needing to give Emery & NFG's recent setlists a good listen before I decide on (1).

Hey DavID, were the 2 additional acts for your show predictable or what? Two Tongues & NFG's alter-egos, if you weren't aware.

Keep up Ross. Has all that snow iced up your brain? ;-)

Yeah, I definitely think these guys are worth listening to. You may find them a bit too safe, but that doesn't mean they aren't good. I would recommend you start with their 2nd album 'Universes' first though. If you really like that, you could then work back to this.

Yeah I know, can't say I'm used to these temperatures, first time I've seen snow in a year and a half.

Hmm OK, well I'll see if I can last fm them later, I'll tell you what I think when I get round to it.

Good to see you caught them at the BDO DavID. I'm still deciding on whether or not to go see their gig with Trial Kennedy. But at under $40 it's hard to go wrong.

The world has gone crazy Ross. We're down here on fire, while you are freezing your tit$ off. With regards to Birds Of Tokyo, the song that best sums them up and arguably is their very best is called 'Broken Bones'. Although I am personally partial to 'Silhouettic' myself.

There are alot of gaps in my schedule for soundwave. Most of them not big enough to see a full set...so far its:

TBA, All That Remains, Unearth

half hour gap, Underoath

Anberlin, 20 min gap

Innerpartysystem, 20 min gap

The Audition, 15 min gap

Lucana Coil, hour gap

In Flames and then we'll turn up late to NIN

Defs go Davey, both were great at BDO, particularly Trial Kennedy.

Tom, to say your day will be different to mine is an under-statement (only Anberlin & maybe Lacuna Coil will be the same). It seems strange to me that you are mainly seeing heavier bands & then when you do finally choose some pop-punk, it's The Audition. I've alreadys seen them live & they did not impress me at all.

With your smaller gaps, I'd just wander if I was you. The time will fly by & it's best to get to the next set early just in case the bands jump on early (which apparently happened last year). As for your hour break, I'm choosing between Emery, New Found Glory & Say Anything. That's a pretty fair trio to choose from.

I know, I know Billy. I almost have no question that they will put on a great show. I'm just being lazy at the moment. Hopefully it doesn't sell out & I can get tickets closer to the show.

I know this comment is irrelevant, but I finally saw a Trial Kennedy video the other day (Sunday Warning) & the lead singer looked nothing like I had imagined he would.

Expect the unexpected.

I used to think Antony Hegarty was a huge black man.

Well, I've never been to a proper concert before and I enjoyed Champion...besides theres nothing particularly good in that timeslot anyway. And I'll probably check out Say Anything.

Haha DavID. Yeah, that was a fair way off.

Fair call Tom. I'm seeing Funeral For A Friend in that slot & am spewing that Valencia clashes with them.

Well, we all have to start some time DavID... Although I'm not certain a festival full of predominantly heavy bands is the best place to start! Just remember Tom, have eyes in the back of your head & keep your forearms up!
