You do realize there is more than one band playing at shows usually, right?

I mean, I don't go to concerts with only one band playing, unless it's really effing good.

And I'm not against Christianity or faith in general, just the annoying preaching of it and stupid views or rejections of things (like homosexuality and evolution) because you believe that a text revised a great number of times that was written hundreds of years after events supposedly occurred should be taken word for word, or at least the parts you want to take literally. You have to pick and choose which moronic parts to believe in I suppose.

If they believe in it so greatly, they shouldn't be afraid of questioning when they preach, no?

Thats a fair call about other bands on the bill, my bad i was on the assumption you went to see them (whoever) as a headliner.

you do realise when you say things like that, its really no different to the 'annoying preaching' you paint all christians with.

I dont get what youre saying here. I dont think any christian band would care if they got criticised for being too preachy

I don't recall saying that all Christians believed in this.

I befriend a great deal of Christians who believe in both Evolution AND that being gay isn't a 'sin'.

If I avoided all Christians based on stereotypes, it'd be hard to find friends.

And that's great that they wouldn't mind too much, that would give me the freedom to do so.

Oh, and I totally hate it when Christian Bands preach in the middle of their concerts. If they should be allowed their dumb preaches, I should be allowed up their to disprove them.

make some great music and you have your chance

i used to not like clam sauce then randomly tried it again and loved it

and the other is, "I just want to say that Jesus loves you all, and that he laid on the cross just

for you so he could forgive you of your sins, and gays shouldn't marry because some shitface that

never wrote any word of our Deity or what Jesus said wrote so and we believe him because the Bible

was written by dumb mortals with inner ear infections, not divine people. Oh, and Evolution totally

isn't real and the earth is 6000 years old lawl."

you're right about dumb mortals like you and the people who act like legalizing or making illegal

something changes anything (homosexuality)

go ahead and research evolution and how the earth is dated and it's reliability and then ask

yourself if the Bible even says how old the earth is. you're right about dumb mortals sucking at

living and promoting truth like I said but that doesn't change the truth.

also it's easy to blindly adopt the idea that the Bible has been revised blah blah blah but you're

failing to look at the historical verification by dead sea scrolls, other non-religious historical

authors like Josephus etc. I think it's sad that you don't question the history of Alexander the

Great or Sophocles etc. but when it comes to the Bible or the story of Jesus written by three of his

friends who lived with him (3 of the Gospels) and then another man years after (another Gospel) plus

extra-biblical texts and they are in agreement you run from it (probably because you don't like

authority?).

Whoa.

You totally proved me wrong by shoving words in my mouth. I applaud you.

I'm not saying that Jesus wasn't real (though there is the possiblity and theories that he didn't exist). I am saying that it's pretty undeniable that not only were his actions exaggerated, he also didn't say much of the things he did, such as "Love your enemy" and blah blah blah.

WHOA! I probably am just running from authority!

That's what all atheists are doing now, it has little to do with the religious contradictions.

Thank you nate, you taught me much.

But yeah, the albums kinda growing on me, might change the rating.

Dunno.

can you point me in the right direction to where I can learn how it's "pretty undeniable" that Jesus didn't say "love your enemy" and so on?

apparent religious contradictions don't make someone an atheist, just not a believer in a certain religion. I don't want to start some great debate.

sup guys, i'm a christian that doesnt force his beliefs on anyone. i also think that evolution is plausible but God could have created evolution just as easily as it could have randomly been happening this whole time, also, i support gay marriage.

yep i'm serious.

yep we do exist

Gayz are faggotz

Oh, and @nate: http://evolutionofgod.net/q/jesus

I'm not saying that Jesus wasn't a cool dude if he existed, but I'm merely saying that his words/actions have been exaggerated and added upon throughout two thousand years, which really isn't that implausible of an idea.

Seems like kind of a pointless excerpt. It's not like I'm going to read that and say "Oh my, Jesus might not of said love your enemies! That must mean the Bible is a complete lie!"

you're saying that and basing it on "not that implausible of an idea" compared to any substantial

evidence. substantial evidence would simply disagree with you

No, I'm saying that the Bible has been edited throughout times. The Bible has also been based on fact and historical events, which is understandable.

But the story of Jesus has been repeated throughout history multiple times before his 'birth' (Many deities before him have been born of virgins, 12 Disciples, Traditionally born on the 25th of December, Miracle preforming, Betrayed, Crucified, Rose three days later, etc.)

Obviously, since the Bible automatically counts as substantial evidence?

Nick Greer
I believe in the one and only Adam Downer.

I have Downer's Syndrome.
