it was the one that was on the reissue's bandcamp
the Tzadik covers are cool but I can live without the big ass text on this one
|

I love it, kinda tempted to put as my wallpaper somewhere. It's oddly suitable for the music itself too. The text version looks kinda tacky by comparison.

Makes it sound like I'm TB the way I've written that.

I have the vinyl. Spun it twice so far, and I can attest for myself at least that it is one of the best sounding vinyls I've ever owned. It's almost as if I'm listening to it for the first time.
Pricey? Yeah, probably the most expensive 2xLP I have so far. However, considering we're lucky for this to even be pressed for vinyl finally was/is a holy grail miracle in and of itself as well as the bonus content (Marathon alt. ending and the COTE set from The Stone 2015 on Vimeo) for all orders, I didn't even care about it nor the 6+ month wait for it.

Ok, this rules, but guessing you guys knew that already. I wonder what their other stuff is like, hopefully the retain at least some of the post-metal elements.

Aura on an Asylum Wall and On Limpid Form is pretty post-metal if you ask me

I don't hear any metal in Dowsing except for some of the first track, and I suppose the last 13 minutes of Limpid Form but that's so minimalist and repetitive that it's more avant-garde imo.

Dowsing's a 5 for me so I don't really care what people call it, it's amazing music at the end of the day. I do wonder what Toby would call it though. From the KD bandcamp: "KAYO DOT is a progressive rock, avant-goth, weird metal, undefinable band..." lol
|
| |
I love the notion of Avant-Goth
