Those are the only two releases of theirs with even an inkling of merit

They just got progressively worse and worse with every release

Used to kinda like this when I was younger, but not sure I even could anymore just given the direction this band went.

I honestly probably wouldn't like this album if it weren't for the nostalgia factor, at least not as much. This is basically just bargain bin Lamb of God

It's not what I'd call "unlistenable".

honestly I think they could've been a decent band with some potential if not for A. mainstream success and B. fuckin Kevin Churko who turns every band he produces into a homogeneous blob. they have instrumental chops and this album demonstrated better songwriting then they do now. I think they just keep dumbing themselves down more and more because it sells.

they're still pretty shitty people though

Their cops and army shtick comes off as such a blatant cash grab that its sickening and actively makes them less listenable

them trying to bring awareness to PTSD and stuff was kinda nice but otherwise I agree. it's exploitative. they know that dumb macho gun nut rednecks latched onto their music and they're milking that audience for all they've got.

on the other hand, their former drummer did just become an actual cop so there probably was some authenticity to it at one point.

I actually don't mind this album.

It sets out to create dumbass macho groove metal for the pit, the wrestling ring and the gym and it...succeeds lol

Miles ahead of their more recent stuff for sure. I remember like The Bleeding and Death Before Dishonor a lot when I was younger.

I'm mildly ashamed of this. Still had some cool guitarwork tho.
