They are one of my favourite post-hardcore & emo (post 2000) bands next to Funeral For A Friend, Alexisonfire, Silverstein, Thursday, Armor For Sleep, Emery and others.
Most of those bands I only discovered last year and sometimes I need a dose of that kind of music.
At first I didn't like the screaming vocals of that genre (because it is often hard to understand the lyrics there) but somehow it grew on me and now I like them.

I lowkey am getting really into listening to these early 2000s emo bands again. Their raw sound was actually really unique to this era and just isn't done like this anymore.

I totally agree. There was a small distinct era of post-hardcore/emo/metalcore in those early 2000s that was a big musical awakening for me and totally unique. It feels like there's a thousand bands still trying to do this kind of sound but you're right, it doesn't sound the same.
